5 reasons to get yourself a VA

5 reasons to get yourself a VA

If I had the skills I would create a BuzzFeed quiz - 'Do I need a VA?' BuzzFeed has a lot of answers to a lot of questions, even Which Disney Princess Are You? I recommend it, it’s an oldie but a goody. Jasmine BTW, I’ll take that, thank you.

So with my new found love of flying soft furnishings and my daredevil ways, I am fully equipped to tell you why you need a VA like me.

1. The not very interesting bits
I am here to take on the mundane and despite my alter ego Princess Jasmine, who wants to be off gallivanting with monkeys in hats and genies that live in somewhat compact living conditions, I am happy to do the dull tasks. Those bits and bobs which aren’t a priority, but will still be on the edge of your desk for the next few weeks, that turn into months and get buried beneath even more paperwork and unopened trade magazines, those are the jobs which have my name on them. The simpler, the better, easy to handover to me to get things organised and finished. Suggestions include; expenses into spreadsheets, invoicing, data inputting, transcriptions, proofreading, meeting minutes and more.

2. I can offer you a fresh pair of eyes
Whether it’s for proofreading or a conundrum you have been trying to solve for a while but can’t see the wood for the trees. Maybe you are scratching around trying to create new and exciting content to share, but you have become so close to a project or product that you have lost sight of what it was that grabbed your attention all those months or years ago at the beginning, when actually those selling points could need re-visiting for a new crowd.

3. Marketing
We all need it in business and it is literally everywhere we go. Sometimes singing your praises or those of your product or service doesn’t come naturally. You tell me what you do and I will help you to work out key messaging, tone of voice, copy, ideas for social posts, advertising, events and so on depending on how far you’d like to go. It could be that you have all the ideas and don’t know where or who to start with.

4. Research
From suppliers, to venues, products, competitor activity and media monitoring. I am happy to trawl the internet, order brochures, get hold of costs, prices, delivery terms, timescales, samples and so on. These things all take time, if you’d prefer to cut to the chase and just have the answers or a summary, then handing over to a Virtual Assistant like me to do the dirty work is the perfect solution.

5. My time probably doesn’t cost as much as yours does
Not only are you probably very busy if you have taken the time to read this blog about VA services, but your time can possibly be better spent on doing what you do best. The money spinner of your business is likely not to be the much needed VA and PA work, which is why you are here. I am a big believer in outsourcing. There is no admin, pension, tax codes, holiday pay, sick pay and return to work forms, employee handbooks, tour of the office facilities, desk, computer or recruitment fees to work with me. We can agree an hourly rate, a set of tasks and have regular catch ups to work out where we are and what comes next.
