Big news everyone, there is never a dull moment in the life of a Virtual Assistant, I am delivering a workshop. I haven’t done any public speaking since I worked for the NHS Chlamydia Screening Outreach Team engaging groups of 16-24 year olds about their sexual health, surely after that any subject is possible!
I am genuinely excited to share my pearls of wisdom and hopefully make a difference to small businesses who want to gain more from their social media, and to find out more about what has and hasn’t been working in the social media world for attendees.
Here is a bit more about the workshop, if you have any questions drop me a line (Contact Us) hope to see you there.
Synopsis: A Practical Guide to Social Media for Small Businesses
This isn’t a how to set up a Twitter page from scratch, step-by-step kind of workshop, but more of a tricks and tips to make social media work for you and your small business. You can spend a lot of time tinkering around on social media, but it needs to be worthwhile right?
You…
- You might be thinking about setting up social media accounts for your business and trying to figure out which ones will work best for you.
- You might have no idea what to post! Why would what you do be of interest to anyone, and how can you make it more interesting?
- You may have social media accounts up and running and be disappointed by the level of interaction or find that every time you log in to make an update something has changed or moved.
- You might find social media a complete chore and be losing interest.
This workshop will…
- Ask if you’re using your time and energy on the right channels.
- Give you ideas to boost your presence and interactivity.
- Guide you on growing your online audience.
- Discuss the importance of organic (free) and paid for (advertising) growth on social media.
- Explore what’s new.
- Give you practical tips and tools to take away and make changes quickly and easily.
The workshop will take place on Valentine’s Day, 6pm till 7pm at the Royal Latin School.
The lovely folks at Creation Education who invited me to speak are running a month of courses for small businesses, entrepreneurs and business minded folk in Buckingham from January to February 2019. Find out more about the workshops on offer here.
If you can’t make the workshop, make sure you register your interest as there might just be a next time. If you are interested in outsourcing your social media because you just don’t have the time, also get in touch, whether it’s for help creating and scheduling daily or weekly posts or a good old tidy up of your pages, I am here to help. If you want to think long term and discuss a strategy and tactics, how you can add more fun to your feed or the ins and outs like autoreplies, drop me a line.
