I am always looking for new locations to meet clients for coffee or lunch in Milton Keynes. My criteria is somewhere not too noisy so you can chat comfortably, somewhere not too quiet (where other people might be forced to listen in) and somewhere even when it’s the school holidays that hasn’t got the distraction of children having the time of their lives whilst you’re trying to have a serious and professional chat.
I love coffee based meet-ups
Coffee is a great starting point for a meeting, so here are my top spots in Milton Keynes to meet a client. I have never had any issues with finding a table at any of these locations:
The Moxy at The Hub - I like keeping this a secret as it’s so good. Loads of tables, WiFi works perfectly and the place is great if you need to snap a few photos for your Insta. There’s an abundance of plug sockets dotted around if your laptop battery life is like mine (old and tired) and you’ll find yourself in the company of lots of other worker bees. Fridays and especially Friday afternoons can be a bit busier, and this is the only day I’ve seen the pool table in action. Open early doors too unlike a few other possibilities in MK.
Ori Caffe, above John Lewis in Milton Keynes shopping centre - if someone doesn’t know Milton Keynes but they’re coming to you, this is a good option. There is a car park right next to John Lewis so they can’t get lost, just come into the shopping centre to Middleton Hall and look up above JL, you’ll see Ori. I can also recommend peppermint tea here! Plenty of tables, of different shapes and sizes, and the more private options can be found at the back behind the counter.

Client lunch meeting ideas in Milton Keynes
When it’s rainy and cold:
The Swan, MK Village - when I’ve been at lunchtime there have been other lunch meetings going on so you don’t feel like you’re turning anyone’s leisurely lunch into a co-working space. It’s pretty spacious so loads of seating options, WiFi works perfectly fine and lots of free parking.
The Old Beams, Shenley Lodge - sometimes has more of a family vibe during the day, plenty of parking, gluten-free menu and pretty spacious inside if you want to be away from the crowd. I’ve had a few meetings here over the years, service is always great and the food good.
Get outside:
The Prince George, Tattenhoe - great on a sunny day, this pub has a garden with plenty of shade under a pergola. Tables are nice and spread out for privacy, lunch menu is great (has plenty of gluten-free options) and loads of free parking, so no watching the clock or hunting for space to park.
